Bath Bench and Transfer Bench
When getting in and out of the tub becomes difficult and potentially dangerous, transfer benches offer a safe alternative to patients. Patients that have to stop over the side of the bathtub, put themselves at an additional risk of falling even with a grab bar in place. One can sit down on the outside of the bathtub, swing their legs over the wall, and then easily slide across the seat while holding onto a hand rail mounted on the opposite side. These transfer benches can then be used as seating support when bathing or showering. Patients can also select a bath bench, rather than a transfer bench, depending on their needs.
Elevated Toilet Seat
When bending is difficult, using the toilet can present potential fall risk. Using a raised toilet seat will reduce the degree of required bending, thereby reducing fall risk. By adjusting the seat height with an elevated toilet seat, it provides assistance for those who have difficulty raising themselves from or to the toilet seat.
