Sarah originally decided to pursue a career in pharmacy when she had ambitions of entering the field of drug research. Her experiences in pharmacy school, however, have led her in another direction. Her true passion is to help patients which she has been able to do in both the community pharmacy and hospital pharmacy settings.
Sarah has completed advanced pharmacy practice experiences in cardiology, oncology, infectious disease, emergency medicine and clinical research in addition to the required general medicine and ambulatory care rotations. She will graduate in May with her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy.
Upon completing pharmacy school Sarah hopes to complete a PGY1 general pharmacy practice residency to further her education and increase the breadth of her experience. She then hopes to pursue a PGY2 residency in Emergency Medicine to focus her practice.
When she is not on rotation or studying, Sarah enjoys reading, soccer, hiking and spending time with her two nieces, Eleanor and Amelia, and her black lab Sophie.
